A Glimpse of Vivo X100 Pro’s Design Before the November 13th Launch

The smartphone industry is abuzz with the next big thing, and one such device is the upcoming Vivo X100 series, which is all set to go official in China on November 13. It’s been a while since the Chinese smartphone brand first teased the X100 series with specs and design images. However, the company has now released an official video highlighting the design and color options for the X100 Pro.

In the video, vivo reveals four shades for the handset: Star Trail Blue, Sunset Orange, White Moonlight, and Chenye Black. The X100 series is designed to offer an immersive photography experience with features such as a 5.5-inch HD+ display, a 48MP IMX989 primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 64MP periscope camera. It can also capture low-light photos and videos using its ZEISS branding on the primary sensor as well as the V3 imaging chip that’s optimized for Zeiss-branded cameras. The X100 series also has a 5,400mAh battery that can power the camera’s high-performance functions, such as night and moon photography.

Besides the impressive camera setup, the vivo X100 Pro will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC with support for 5G connectivity. This will help the device deliver a seamless experience with two-way satellite messaging. Moreover, the handset will have a dedicated Unisoc V8821 chipset for advanced augmented reality functionality.

Furthermore, the X100 Pro can capture detailed selfies with its 32-megapixel front-facing camera. It will be able to offer an enhanced selfie experience and provide natural lighting with its self-timer, live beauty mode, and a widescreen frame. It will also support AR stickers to add a touch of fun to your selfies.

According to Vivo, the X100 Pro is capable of capturing photos that look as if you were on the moon. This is achieved by employing a unique image processing algorithm that can make your shots look realistic.

While vivo is yet to confirm the pricing details for the X100 series, a recent Geekbench database listing with the model number “V2309A” suggests that the base 12/256GB variant of the smartphone will cost around CNY 3,999 ($550). This will run on Android 14 and come with 1TB of onboard storage. The phone will be backed by a MediaTek Dimensity 9306XT CPU, a Mali-G71 GPU, and 4GB of LPDDR5T RAM. Besides, it will be able to support 120W wired charging. Lastly, the vivo X100 will feature several sensors, including an accelerometer, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. The X100 will also be equipped with a fingerprint scanner and a face unlock system to scan your face in three dimensions. The smartphone will also be backed by a waterdrop-shaped speaker and a 3.5mm headphone jack. More details about the upcoming smartphone will be revealed at the official launch event in China on November 13. The Vivo X100 series is expected to debut in other countries soon.
